Part 1. How to Reset RAR Password if You Forgot Password
Step One. Add the Password Protected RAR File to the Program
After download and installation, launch the RAR Password Resetter and then click the “Open” button on the right of the interface to add target RAR file to the program.
Step Two. Select and Set for Attack Types
Among the three attack types provided – Brute-force Attack, Brute-force with Mask Attack and Dictionary Attack, you are allowed to select one which will be used for the decryption of your RAR file.
For each type of attack, you have different settings to set, but no settings for Brute-force Attack. For example, if you choose Brute-force with Mask Attack, you will have Password Length and Character Set to set.
Step Three. Start the Program

Part 2. Reset RAR Password if You Remember Your Password

1 Right click on the RAR file whose password you want to reset. From the menu that appears, select “Extract All”.
2 Enter the RAR file’s password into the dialog box that appears and then press the “OK” button.
3 Click the “OK” button from the window that appears. In this way you are asking WinRARto extract the archive to a folder located in the same directory. The folder will have the same name as the archive.
4 Right click on the newly created folder and select “Add to Archive.” This will bring up a dialog box featuring settings dealing with the archive.
5 Click on the tab that says “Advanced.” Click on the “Set Password” button and type a password of your choosing into the box that appears.
6 Click the “OK” button. This will add the contents of the folder to an archive with the same name. And you have successfully reset RAR password. The newly created archive will have the same content as your original RAR file with the exception of it having a new password.
